GM Crop Salary will be 5000 employees

CHICAGO - General Motors Corp. plans to cut 5,000 employees salaries as a way to cut costs with a limit of time until 31 March 2009 to maintain USD 13.4 billion in aid from the U.S. government, according to Bloomberg reports, as dilansir Reuters, Sunday (8/2/2009 ).

The report states that the employees already know with this plan and the company will incorporate this plan in a report to the U.S. government on the upcoming February 17.

However, the spokesperson for GM is not willing to comment on the report.

GM saw sales decline 49 percent in January and said to the policy in December that may be faced collapse without government assistance. GM alone has received USD 9.4 billion in emergency funds as part of the rescue plan approved by the United States government in December 2008 ago.
